It seems that Sony Ericsson is crazy about two market segments.  One is the Walkman phone and another is camera phones.  This time Sony Ericsson has come up with W850, which is supposed to be company’s first 3G Walkman phone with a slider.  The new Sony Ericsson W850 will be available in two colours, white and black.  W850 is a tri-band 3G cellphone. About the looks, as you may see in the picture, the looks at jaw dropping. The W850 will be shipping with a 1 GB memory stick PRO Duo,and expandable upto 4 GB.  This cellphone will be shipped with the latest version of Sony Ericsson’s Walkman player software, that is, Walkman player 2.0.  Of course W850 has an on board FM radio, with RDS station identifier.Sony Ericsson W850 comes with a 2 megapixel camera, and you can share them with your friends.The track ID feature lets you record a few seconds of a song from the radio and then with one click send it to the Gracenote® worldwide music database which will identify the track and relay the information back to the phone. This cellphone will be shipped during the 3rd quarter of 2006 . Sony Ericsson rocks.

For all those who love music while jogging or exercising this is a great news.  Sony Ericsson launches the new w710 Walkman phone.  This has a sporty look for those active ones. This includes a motion sensor, and an fitness application.  This is really amazing. This software does it all for you.  When you are exercising or jogging or simply walking it can count the steps you walking.  This application can also measured your speed, distance or even time.  W710 fitness application can keep an account of the distance you walk everyday.  This application can be   monitored without opening the flap of W710. 

W710 Walkman phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera with a Digital zoom.  This is a quad band cellphone which has EDGE/GPRS.  W 710 will start shipping during Q3 2006. The expected price is between $250 to $380.  Now let us talk about the user interface.  W710 has an easy to use, user interface.The jogging application can be accessed easily from both the sub display and main display to measure both speed and distance covered while out running. The radio FM and the Walkman both can be accessed from the sub display. W710 Walkman phone is supplied with 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2),which can be expanded upto 1 GB. W710 also comes with a full HTML browser. This makes Sony Ericsson W710 a complete potable device.

Nokia launches E50 as the latest addition to its E series of cell phones.This is the 18th launch from nokia this year.  I would call this a value for money handset.  This is targeted towards a broad range of employees. Though the looks are not very appealing, but, the features are rich.  Now let me make myself clear.  When I say "rich features" , I am not comparing E50 with any of the smart phones or PDAs.  This is a business cellphone which is not very costly but still, has the features which are needed by executives.With a classic look, the phone has the following features-high-quality hands free speaker found.-quad band.

-a bundle of Nokia office tools.

-view Microsoft world, Microsoft power point.

-also compatible with adobe reader.

-supports popular corporate e-mail solutions.

In addition to these,there are few more things to talk about this cellphone.  For example this cellphone can carry two phone numbers at the same time.  Built on S 60 third edition smart phone platform. This comes in two varieties,  with and without camera.
